Plastics : Film Casting procedure
Film Casting is a manufacturing process where molten plastic is extruded through a flat die onto a highly polished, temperature-controlled roll ( chill roll ), forming a continuous thin plastic film that is then cooled and collected. Flat Die: A tool used in plastic extrusion that has a wide, straight opening through which molten plastic is pushed to create sheets or films - like a long, rectangular slot that shapes the plastic into a flat form.
